A new plant to us in 2023, this native shrub is showing a lot of promise!
Ninebark is quick growing, shade tolerant, and black walnut tolerant. It has showy white flowers which are attractive to a number of bees, and the plant is also host to many moth species. Its name comes from the complex bark which peels as it ages.
Easy to divide in spring and easy to grow from cuttings, we’re excited to keep getting to know this great plant!
